The expanded form of CCCP is Сою́з Сове́тских Социалисти́ческих Респу́блик.
The Soviet Union or USSR was a one-party state and a union of multiple subnational Soviet republics, its government and economy were highly centralized and governed by the Communist Party with Moscow as its capital. It was established by the communists under the leadership of vladimir lenin on 1922 as an aftermath of October revolution in 1917 in which Tsars was overthrown by Bolsheviks. The union was collapsed on 1991 during the reign of Michael Gorbachev.
On December 25 1991, Gorbachev government's liberalization policies led to the end of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union and the USSR was dissolved into 15 post-Soviet states also known as former Soviet Republics. Russia is recogonized internationally as the successor of USSR ( Soviet Union ).
